My name is Laura Mugridge, sister to TV star Les Stroud Survivorman and my family is the proud owner of Kayla “Down to Earth’s” Chantilly Lace a beautiful dark golden retriever sired by CKC registered Chance and Deja, two of the most beautiful golden retrievers I had ever seen.  When I first met with Dana and her father Paul I was impressed with the immediate welcoming atmosphere of their home.

Dana  and Paul took the time to answer all my questions regarding their puppies and the parents and having never dealt with a breeder before I was completely at ease.  She fully explained her puppy selection protocol so there were no misunderstandings as to how the pups were picked by their prospective owners.

I was shown around the entire yard from the outside pens complete with grass and small trees to the amazing little birthing house where each of her litters are born.  It looks like a miniature cottage.  The birthing house even has monitors where Dana can watch from her kitchen to ensure that the puppies are safe and secure at all times.  Everything is kept 100% sanitary and all pens are cleaned daily to ensure the puppies health and well being along with regular vet checkups after they arrive.  All her puppies are brought up in a loving home environment and have the most amazing personalities and temperament and boy are they smart!  Dana and Paul go out of there way to ensure that each little lad or lassie is getting the best care possible right down to buying air conditioners for the birthing house and a little wading pool to keep them cool during our hot summer this year.  I am so happy that I found Down to Earth Goldens; Kayla truly is our once in lifetime dream dog!  Each puppy is sent to their forever homes with the most amazing package from a collar and leash and toy to coupons for food, a free bag of food and all medical paperwork from their vet.  If you are looking for an amazingly bred golden retriever puppy look no further than Down to Earth Goldens.  You will be so happy you did. 

Dana offers continued support from her extensive knowledge of golden retrievers to help new owners with everything from house training to command training and encourages continued contact once the puppies leave.

When I first contacted you about a puppy, you took the time to explain to me who you were and what you stood for. Since I wasn't able to come and see the puppies, you made sure I had someone I trusted come over and meet with you. Once I decided to adopt one of Essie's pups, you involved me in every step of her development. The little extras you provided were a nice touch and very unexpected. The unlimited support you provide after bringing the puppy home is fantastic. My Bella is a beautiful, intelligent, spunky puppy and when the time comes for her to have a playmate I will come back to Down to Earth Kennels without a second thought. I really appreciate all your efforts in making this such a wonderful experience.
