About me
I always raised bred pure bred hunting dogs and working dogs on the farm for the past 25 years, this is mine and my daughters dream. I have always had a love for dogs, owning and breeding has been something I have done all my life. My children were raised with dogs from the first day they were born. It is no suprise that my daughter loves them just as much. I feel fulfilled with the dogs in my life. I never put much thought into testing dogs before until I started with Golden's, my daughter was a big advocator for the testing and I believe it is important as many breeds are riddled with health issues. So we have the stock cleared for Hips (OVC), Elbows (OVC), Heart (OFA), Eyes (CERF), Thyroid (OFA). To help prevent any health issues, no breeder can say that their dog's can never have an health issue as it is genetics. Testing is the best way to prevent.
My daughter is a single mother of two young children and I see this as the best life learning experience with birth/life for my grandchildren as it was for my own. My daughter has taken the puppies in to the school for learning experience for all of the children to get hands experience with the puppies. My granddaughter is 11 years old and loves to help whelp the litters. She is a very smart little lady, and knows the dogs and issues that may arise and is quick to act.
My Grandson has Autism with co-morbid ADHD and with the dog's it has worked well for therapy for him. He gets to be hands on with the puppies and does well with them all. I donated a puppy to Autism Dog Services on behalf of my grandson so another child could benifit from these wonderful animals.

My daughters famous saying when she was growing up was "Dad what's one more" so for her birthday I got her personal licence plates that says just that. Having the dog's is a passon for her she researches everything and loves to learn new information. Having the dog's as a part of her family has helped a great deal as a stress release. She plans on taking over the business in a few years, as she is completing her education as a Registered Social Service worker, and is returning to obtain her Addictions post Grad as well.
